  1. How do I change the size of the tagline?

  2. I’m trying to create a Mailchimp campaign through RSS, but it seems that RSS only sends truncated text, not the full text. Does this theme work with RSS 2.0?

    • rss is not theme independent, might be your wp setting config or how your server handle xml.
      wp by default support rss 1.0 and rss 2.0

      also refer to this link
      //wordpress.org/support/topic/rss-feed-isnt-working-xml-parsing-error?replies=14
      there’s a plugin solution they mention.

  3. Is there any way to delete elements in the footer rather than just change them in the footer widgets?

    Also, is there any way to delete the some of social icons and the search box in the upper right corner?

    Thanks.

  4. Just started using free version of combomag and cannot even start to get my header image to the left and the side widget up to the top to the right of the header image like the demo – is there any support videos or documentation for this? Thanks.

    • i think you mean the slider. its configurable in wp-admin->appearance->theme option->featured slider setting

      • Yes, I went there and cannot see how to get my slider images to the left and the side widgets up top to the right f the slider like in the demo….is there any documentation for the free version? Thanks.

        • what do you mean? it look exactly the same as demo in your site //eplsavantstest.mccinternalmedicine.org/ is it not?

          • Yes, I sort of lucked into it after sending the last comment – is there documentation for the free version or paid version or is this the support? I like the theme and might like to upgrade after playing with it a bit more but am curious about documentation and differences between the free and paid version – as you can tell, I am not too skilled at this. Thanks.

            • free and dev version basically the same, we tend not to limit or locked any features in theme.
              however if purchased the dev version, you can replace sidebar.php and all files inside lib/functions
              to remove sidebar credits and theme option panel extra credit and our social link. and access to our premium support theme.

          • Also, while I am here, is there a way to make the widgets in the large homepage area stay in the same spot instead of rotate down as posts are added? Thanks.

            • i don’t think the theme had this features, like sticky sidebar.
              this is more a customize question which we sometime advice or support in premium support forums.

  5. Hello I purchased ComboMag from you about 2 weeks ago. I dont like the way the site looks on mobile with the menu and search bar. I activated a mobile menu plugin for the theme but I cant get rid of the menu and search bar showing on mobile. I wish I could of seen what this theme looked like on mobile before purchasing it. What can I do about it?

    • I just need to get rid of the drop down menu for mobile and the social icons and search bar. Also the photo on mobile is small. Too much white space. Look at //alldayweb.com on mobile and see what Im talking about.

      • try add this to theme option->custom css

        @media only screen and (min-width:240px) and (max-width:780px){
        #main-navigation { display:none; }
        }

        @image white space
        they look fine to me in mobile. any specific area?
        maybe try increase the mobile width, open style.css and edit line 672 or somewhere near it, search this code

        @media only screen and (min-width:280px) and (max-width:482px){

        edit to

        @media only screen and (min-width:280px) and (max-width:650px){

        • About the white space…I am talking about the space on both mobile and desk top. The margin left and right margin space in the body of the homepage where the upcoming free webinar area is. It is too much white space. Look at it in desktop view. The image of the upcoming free webinar is too narrow. Is there a way to give maybe only 10px on each side? I would like the photo to go full width here without going through the Custom Fields plugin. The plugin gives errors with me for some reason.

          • Also how can I make it where the name HOME does not show on the homepage?

            • did you try use custom menu for this? in wp-admin->appearance->menus.

              • i figured everything out but one area. How can I make the big photo for the free upcoming webinar on the homepage full width?

                • add this to custom css

                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single {width:100%;padding:0;}
                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single h1 {margin:0;}
                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single .post-content {margin:0;padding:0;}
                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single p:first-of-type {width:100%;padding:0;}
                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single p {width:92%;padding:0 4%;}
                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single iframe {width:92%;padding:0 4%;}
                  .page-id-30 #post-entry article.page-single img.wp-image-91 {max-width:100%;width:100%;padding:0;margin:0;}

          • try add this to custom css

            #post-entry article.post-single {padding: 2%;width: 96%;}

            • Yes that worked but there is still much padding at the top. Can we fix the top? Look on mobile. Also there is no way for the photo to be stretched full width and to the top like the Articles page?

              • no idea, my view of mobile is different than yours maybe, any screenshot i can look at?
                ps: please use the support forum instead.not public comment here, if have more support related question in the future.

    Regards,

    Vincent

  9. We have some problems with the site because we get infected each week by malware injection code. After check the site with sucuri/wordfence plugins we get advised that the code on the theme-functions.php file can be a virus. Can we remove this part of the code?

    • maybe consider purchase the developer version of the theme which did not have encrypted code on theme-functions.php.

  10. is there anyway I can disable the mobile compatibility for this theme? I would rather show my website as it looks in desktop when accesed through a mobile. I was not able to find the option so I am wondering if there is something i can do the code.

    Thanks

    • open style.css and delete code from 625 starting from

      @media only screen and (min-width:768px) and (max-width:1118px) {
  11. Hi,

    Considering purchasing this. I have a problem that none of the social buttons seem to work though, it just appends them to the url.

    My website is attached. Any suggestions?

    • better use social plugin for this. the theme social functions seem deprecated since addthis js changes.

  12. Hello,

  13. Hi,

    I would like to purchase your theme ComboMag, but before, i have a bug with “You might also like to read:”. The pictures are always the same; They doesn’t change. I see always the same. Is it a bug ?

    Thanks

    • seem ok to me, they fetch the setup featured thumbnail image in post, if not exist, it will fetch first image inside post.

  14. I’m wondering if there’s a way to rotate ads in the ad space that is provided in the theme.

    • don’t think so. i think there’s a plugin for this. you can copy paste the plugin shortcode into the theme ad space in theme options.

  15. Hi,

    I get “Call to undefined function get_header() … ” how can i include this function?

    if I include ‘header.php’ I get empty page, what are the configurations so this theme can work?

    ComboMag – version 1.4

    • Call to undefined function get_header()

      this only happen if server stop working, assuming this is a error log.
      get_header is wp core function not theme, it maybe your wp install corrupted, try re-intall the wp.
